FAQ's

Some of our more frequently asked questions...
I am a complete beginner and want to start salsa. Do I need to have any experience in dancing?
Absolutely not. We have absolute beginners classes at all our evenings and have new-comers all the time. Salsa is for everybody. Its a great way of meeting new people and making friends, while learning something new. So, just come along - All you need is a sense of fun.
Do I need to book? Can I join anytime?
You don't need to book, all our classes are 'drop-in' classes, i.e. they're not a set of courses, so you can join any time.
Do I need to attend every week? Does it matter if I miss a class or two?
Our beginners classes are structured in a way that we teach 2-3 basic steps plus a different turn pattern every week, so if you miss a class or two it doesn't matter, as we repeat these moves regularly.
What should I wear?
Footwear: We don't recommend trainers (too much grip on the dance floor) or very high heeled shoes. Low shoes with a closed in toe are ideal.
Clothes: Cool casual and comfortable. Avoid jumpers, it tends to get hot!!
Do I need a partner?
No, We rotate everyone around in the classes so you will have a chance to dance with everyone in your class.
Is there an age limit?
There is no maximum limit. Our classes, however, are held on licenced premises so normal age restrictions apply - You may need to be a minimum of 18.
